Moogfest Makes Line-Up Announcement
Moogfest has announced an intriguing line-up for the 2017 edition of the Festival (18-21 May), with experimental electronic artists dominating the headlining slots.
Brainfeeder founder Flying Lotus is this year’s main attraction, with Animal Collective, Suzanne Ciani, Derrick May, 808 State, Gotye, Jessy Lanza, Simian Mobile Disco, Moor Mother, Syrinx, Visible Cloaks, Princess Nokia, Function and SURVIVE other notable performers.
The Festival have already announced its 2017 daytime program, which includes a collaboration between Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and The Haxan Cloak, as well as a workshop with Detroit noise band Wolf Eyes.
North Carolina’s annual celebration of “the synthesis of music, art and technology” might not be held in Asheville anymore, where the late ‘Bob’ Moog, inventor of the Moog synthesizer and founding father of electronic music, spent the last 30 years of his life, but this year’s line-up announcement proves that the spirit of the Festival has remain unchanged despite its move to downtown Durham.
